Hey all,

Come out to Eamon Patricks on July 13th for the next public meeting of Live Music Peoria. The main item on the agenda is the upcoming Fall Music Festival at Glen Oak Park. John Sebastian of The Lovin' Spoonful will headline the evening, and the Peoria Acoustic All-Stars (featuring many of Peoria's finest musicians) will be performing a tribute to Dan Fogelberg. Disney artist Ralph's World will be playing for all the hip kids in the afternoon.

well.. that may not be exactly true. I had the opportunity to be an extra in Clooney's new film "Leatherheads" due out in April I believe. Who knows.. the back of my head or maybe my left elbow may make the sliver screen...or the cutting floor.. but one can dream right?

We are now playing at Pizza Works this Sat., March 22nd from 9:00 - close. We're still working on rescheduling the Bar Louie gig and will let you know as soon as we do.

Our show this Saturday, March 22nd at Bar Louie will be rescheduled due to a scheduling conflict at the bar.

We are in the process of writing and recording our new full-length. In February, we recorded 4 new songs live with vocal overdubs at Matt Talbott's studio in Tolonon, Illinois. Matt was a member of the critically acclaimed 90's rock band Hum, and continues to record with his new band Centaur.

As yet untitled, look for the new album later this year.

The Peoria Municipal Band will open their 2008 summer season on Sunday, June 1st in Glen Oak Park at 7:30 pm. This 50-member professional concert band will present 27 concerts in Peoria this summer. The band will be holding auditions in May for new band members and new vocal soloists. For specific details and an application to audition please contact Dr. David Vroman at dvroman@bradley.edu or 309-677-2605 prior to April 25, 2008.

I received the following email several days ago:

Hi folks,
I'm in need of help finding a good band to play a wedding reception in Peoria. Do you folks have any suggestions for bands that do a lot of that kind of thing? I'm having a heck of a time trying to find one via the internet and phone books.

This person is looking for a group that could play a wide range of styles, including soul, oldies and top 40 stuff. Please contact me if your band fits these needs and is interested in playing.
