the forecast
according to scouts honor's myspace, the forecast is supposed to play at this show...
are they not playing anymore or is this thing wrong?
The Forecast was originally
The Forecast was originally supposed to play but they couldn't make it.
They're on the CD though....great song!
well
This was a cool venue, but was it me or was the sound really bad in there? Everything sounded SO muffled and hard to hear. too bad cause that place is so presidential!
sound at gar
Yeah, the sound was not good. The acoustics in that hall just don't lend themselves to loud rock shows. It might have been better if the place was packed.
We didn't know until we tried!
I would rather sound crappy in a cool place.
I liked the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall. I had a really good feeling. Even the name rules.
It would have been better if more people showed up.
It doesnt make anyone want to gamble on renting a venue thats cool when people dont show up.
It makes me sad.
I thought this should be looked opon as a trial run.
A chance with a potential future.
I had a great time.
and
The comp is brilliant!
-Brody/evil eye hOneytree
Yeah
The comp is fantastic...every band brought a great song to the table..One of the best modern rock comps I own, and I have a bunch...Just say Mao got nothin on this. My personal favorites: Bitch Single, Fear and Money, Carrying Capacity. The Beatley Lollester track and a nice Greyson song too!

LMP comps for review and quotes
Perhaps free complementary LMP compilation CDs could be given to managers of Coop stores, Jen Christensen at WHOI, Steve Tarter at Peoria Journal Star.
Also WEEK TV, all the media, WCBU, whatever is happening in the offline world of which I know almost nothing.
Give them to club owners with a business card, one contact, to discuss hiring any of the bands. That makes it easier for the club owners. Or separate contact info, URLs or email addresses, phone numbers of managers of the bands on the CD.
Follow up. Get a quote from the record store owners, with permission to use. Have events, like burning records by Elvis or Sting or Aerosmith or anything, just to get attention and administer upheaval to complacent, disgruntled minds.
Every time these bands play, they could preface and conclude their sets with promos for the CD, with some free giveaways, maybe 3 per show. Or do a buy one, get one free. Some way to get the music in the hands of potential and current fans.
A DVD compilation of videos by local Peoria area bands is next. Sludge Farm Records is working on one right now in fact.
Tentatively entitled "Far Feather: Peoria Bands Take Flight Against You".
Promoting the CDs, mp3s, websites, blogs, videos, and live streaming video shows of local bands can make Peoria shine as the super high tech, mega innovative, toe tapping town that it is in terms of music and many other fields.
Has a copy been give to the Peoria Tourist and Convention Board?
