Jazz Times magazine recently described Dr. Lonnie Smith as "a riddle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a turban!" A master of the Hammond B3 organ, Lonnie Smith has been a leading force in jazz since 1969 when critics for Downbeat Magazine hailed him as a 'Top Organist of 1969.' The Jazz Journalist Association recently awarded Lonnie Smith 'Keyboardist/Organist of the Year.'

Scotty Ligon and the Ligonaires is an organ-based rhythm and blues combo featuring vocals and instrumentals.
